This job opportunity is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's logos, food products, and brand identity. It is important to note that this franchisee operates as a separate company and employer from McDonald's USA, and all employment decisions, including hiring, firing, scheduling, and discipline, are the sole responsibility of the franchisee. McDonald's USA does not participate in employment matters such as reviewing applications or making hiring decisions for the restaurant. This ensures that the management and staff hired in the restaurant report directly to the franchisee's leadership, maintaining the autonomy of the local business.
The role offered is that of a Department Manager within a McDonald's corporate owned store, though employed by the franchisee.
