Job Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent military experience
  • 5 or more years of related engineering or military experience for Principal level, 8 or more years for Senior Principal
  • Ability to obtain DoD 8140 approved IAT Level II certification
  • Competence in Linux and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with payloads operations or communications/networking
  • Willingness to deploy to United Arab Emirates for 24 months
  • Ability to work full-time on-site with shift flexibility
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 5 to 8 years of related engineering or military experience or Master’s degree in STEM with 3 to 6 years of experience or PhD in STEM with 1 to 4 years of experience
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8140 approved IAT Level II certification such as CCNA Security, Security+CE, CCNP, or CISSP
  • Competence in Linux and troubleshooting engineering documents, tools and equipment
  • Familiarity with payloads operations and communications/networking operations
  • Ability to support a minimum 24-month assignment at location

Job Duties

  • Provide real time support to flight operations and maintenance addressing issues related to communications and payloads including MFAS Radar, EO/IR, airborne recorder, and Link16
  • Coordinate work with site leadership ensuring Maintenance Action Forms are in place
  • Adhere to checklists and procedures and provide redlines to procedures when necessary
  • Communicate complex technical issues to local support, Degrader Action Cell, Main Operation Bases, and Responsible Engineers
  • Support and lead air crew engagement for troubleshooting complex technical problems during operations
  • Assist with trend analysis for Responsible Engineers
  • Support Main Operating Base communications, networks, and other interfaces
  • Attain and employ expertise in all supported sensor and communications systems
