The role of a Dockworker with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at TForce Freight is a critical position within the logistics team. This full-time role involves handling freight operations safely and efficiently, ensuring shipments are loaded and unloaded properly, and transported securely to meet delivery schedules. The Dockworker is responsible for operating various powered warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, cherry pickers, hydraulic jacks, and extended belts, maintaining a safe docking environment. Additionally, the role requires the operation of tractors to maneuver vehicles within the yard safely and, when necessary, driving tractor-trailers to deliver or pick up freight directly from customers.

This position demands a high level of safety awareness, adherence to local, state, and federal transportation regulations, and a proactive approach to maintaining the condition of both equipment and cargo. The Dockworker must conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, secure shipments thoroughly, and ensure accurate documentation for delivery records and compliance. Effective communication with dispatch and management teams is essential to coordinate schedules, report any delays or issues, and support a seamless operational flow.
