Job Description
TForce Freight is a prominent less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier operating extensively across North America. As a subsidiary of TFI International, TForce Freight specializes in providing reliable transportation and logistics services designed to handle various types of shipments including palletized and heavy LTL loads. The company operates over 178 service centers, providing a broad network that supports regional, interregional, long-haul transport, and cross-border services. They employ advanced tracking technologies to ensure transparency and efficiency in all deliveries. TForce Freight is known for its commitment to safety, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction, making it a leader in the freight and logistics industry. This solid foundation allows the company to foster a dynamic work environment where career growth and personal development are encouraged.
TForce Freight is currently seeking a full-time Dockworker to join their team. This role is crucial to the efficiency and safety of freight handling within their facilities, ensuring that all shipments are loaded and unloaded with the utmost care to maintain the integrity of the freight. The Dockworker position does not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and offers competitive wages along with substantial benefits such as pension plans, 401K options, and paid time off. The ideal candidate is someone with a positive, customer-focused attitude combined with excellent communication skills. This is a hands-on job where operating powered warehouse equipment like forklifts, cherry pickers, hydraulic jacks, and extended belts is essential. The dockworker must also be capable of maneuvering tractors in tight spaces to facilitate vehicle movements within the dock yard efficiently and safely.
Successful candidates will become part of a safety-conscious team dedicated to upholding all safety protocols and maintaining a clean working environment. This role demands attention to detail, dedication to safety standards, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. TForce Freight emphasizes the importance of providing excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of freight handling and workplace safety. Candidates must also comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations by listing a complete ten-year employment history. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the logistics and freight transportation industry with a reputable and growing company.
