Dock Worker - Swing Shift

The role at Carlile Transportation involves operating in compliance with established HSSE policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for reading customer and shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped. This position requires loading and unloading containers, lifting materials, verifying and receiving purchase orders and bills of lading, counting and labeling shipments accurately, and packing or shipping materials in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company policies. You will also consolidate boxes and pallets, note any damaged freight with proper documentation and photographs, and maintain good housekeeping standards focusing on the care and custody of materials.

Prioritizing and preparing orders for shipment, including the preparation of all necessary delivery documents, is a critical aspect of this role. The ability to manage day-to-day activities efficiently based on customer needs and assigned priorities will be essential to your success. This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20.50 to $30.80 per hour depending on experience, coupled with a $2.00 per hour swing shift differential.
