Job Description
Hyatt Regency Lake Washington is a stunning resort-style property beautifully situated on the south shore of Lake Washington, offering guests a tranquil escape filled with the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Located near the bustling tech hub and vibrant millennial culture of nearby Seattle, this resort masterfully combines serene environment with a modern, energetic atmosphere. Guests at Hyatt Regency Lake Washington enjoy breathtaking sunsets, scenic lake views, and a variety of seasonal experiences that celebrate the best of the Pacific Northwest lifestyle, often referred to affectionately as #LakeLife. The resort caters to both leisure and business travelers, delivering comfort, luxury, and authentic hospitality throughout their stay.
The role of Dock & Drink Server at Hyatt Regency Lake Washington is a seasonal position, perfect for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional guest service in a resort environment. This role is based at the resort's seasonal outdoor venue called Dock & Drink, where servers engage guests by presenting a curated menu of food and beverage options. The Dock & Drink Server not only takes and delivers orders with precision and care but also acts as a brand ambassador by providing knowledgeable recommendations on cuisine and drink selections, including beers, wines, and cocktails. This position requires a personable and engaging individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting and can create memorable dining experiences through attentive and genuine guest interaction.
Starting in April 2026 and concluding by October 2026 (with the end date subject to change), the Dock & Drink Server will work in an outdoor environment, exposed to varying weather conditions, which adds an element of dynamic work experience unique to this role. Applicants should be prepared for all shifts, including weekends and holidays, and must uphold Hyatt's standards for professionalism and service excellence. This role offers a competitive wage of $21.57 per hour plus applicable gratuities, reflecting Hyatt's commitment to rewarding talent and dedication.
Candidates with prior restaurant serving experience, especially those familiar with fine dining or family-style dining establishments, will excel in this position. The server's responsibilities are broad and include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the work environment, collaborating closely with team members, managing cash handling, and contributing to the overall positive working atmosphere within the department. Success in this role requires enthusiasm for hospitality, outstanding communication skills, precise attention to detail, and the stamina to work long shifts while standing and lifting moderate weight loads.
Joining Hyatt Regency Lake Washington means becoming part of a global hospitality leader focused on authentic guest experiences and meaningful career growth. Employees have access to a wealth of benefits designed to support their well-being and professional development, setting the stage for unlimited growth potential and opportunities to relocate within Hyatt's worldwide portfolio. This is an ideal opportunity for motivated individuals looking to thrive in the hospitality industry while enjoying the vibrant and scenic Pacific Northwest setting.
