Job Requirements

  • Associates degree required
  • 1-2 years experience in staff management
  • Food service experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily food production and service operations
  • Assist food service directors with program success
  • Prepare and train staff in accordance with USDA and department guidelines
  • Manage food cost control and waste management training
  • Conduct inventories including government commodities
  • Develop financial reports explaining budget variances
  • Coordinate special food events to increase participation
  • Train and evaluate employees adhering to policies
  • Enforce OSHA and safety regulations
  • Maintain quality control over menus and recipes
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation standards
  • Supervise purchasing from approved vendors
  • Maintain accurate production and participation records
  • Manage catering services and client communication
  • Conduct regular meetings and progress reporting
  • Foster positive management and employee morale
