Job Requirements
- AA degree in Culinary Arts or related field
- Four or more years of increasingly responsible experience working as a chef in high-volume settings such as restaurants or central kitchens
- School or institutional food service experience strongly preferred
- Bilingual/Biliterate Spanish desirable
- Current ServSafe Food Manager Certificate required
- Valid driver’s license required
- TB Test clearance required
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint clearance required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in fast-paced kitchen environments
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to coordinate diverse project activities
- Professional and positive demeanor
- Use tact, patience and courtesy

Job Duties
- Train, coach and inspire food service staff in kitchens across the district
- Maintain high standards of food quality, safety and consistency
- Communicate effectively with staff, schools, district officials and community stakeholders
- Coordinate a wide variety of diverse project activities and services related to food preparation and kitchen management
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, schools, district, business partners and the community
- Act in a professional and positive manner while leading kitchen operations
- Provide leadership in the implementation of Board-adopted policies and the Strategic Plan
