Job Description
Disneyland Resort, located in Anaheim, California, is a world-renowned entertainment destination known for its immersive theme parks, exceptional guest experiences, and commitment to storytelling magic. As a leader in the hospitality and entertainment industry, Disneyland Resort offers not only memorable adventures but also opportunities for individuals passionate about culinary arts to grow and succeed in a dynamic work environment. The resort features a diverse range of dining venues from casual eateries to award-winning fine dining establishments, ensuring a broad spectrum of culinary experiences for guests from around the world.
Within Disneyland Resort, the Pastry teams are celebrated not merely as chefs but as artists, visionaries, and storytellers who craft edible masterpieces that enhance the guest experience. These teams operate in several high-profile settings including the Central Bakery, a 10,000 square-foot multifaceted production facility responsible for supplying pastries and desserts across the resort’s theme parks, hotels, and banquet events. Additionally, the Bakeshop at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa focuses on supporting exclusive hotel banquet events and the acclaimed Napa Rose restaurant, which is undergoing an exciting transformation set to debut in Fall 2025 with a bold new menu and an exquisitely reimagined space that promises to continue its legacy of redefining fine dining in California.
Joining the Disneyland Resort Pastry teams means working in a fast-paced, creative, and high-volume environment where innovation and culinary excellence are highly valued. Team members have the unique opportunity to collaborate with renowned Disney chefs and contribute to crafting unforgettable dining experiences that wow guests every day. The resort offers hourly roles such as Full Time Pastry Chef/Head Baker and Part Time Pastry Line/Dinner Cook positions. The compensation package includes a competitive hourly wage — $29.00 per hour for Pastry Chef/Head Baker roles and $28.00 per hour for Pastry Line/Dinner Cook roles — along with potential select benefits such as medical and financial packages, reflecting Disney’s commitment to supporting its cast members.
Prospective candidates are invited to apply ahead of Disneyland Resort’s Culinary Job Event scheduled for Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Disneyland Resort Casting Center in Anaheim. This event is designed to showcase the culinary opportunities available and facilitate direct connections between applicants and the recruitment team. Attendees are encouraged to bring a hard copy of their resume and photos of their pastry work to highlight their skills. Even if you are unable to attend the in-person event, virtual interviewing options are available, demonstrating a flexible and candidate-focused hiring process.
Successful candidates will be individuals who exhibit a passion for pastry and baking, possess strong organizational and multitasking skills, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The resort emphasizes delivering exemplary guest service, teamwork, and participating in creating magical dining experiences for visitors. Employees must be flexible to work various shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and special events to meet operational needs. The comprehensive culinary environment within Disneyland Resort offers significant growth opportunities, professional mentorship, and the satisfaction of being part of a globally recognized brand that values creativity, precision, and storytelling through cuisine.
