Job Description

Cardinal Bay is a mission-driven, not-for-profit senior living health care organization dedicated to fostering an environment where both staff and residents are encouraged to REACH for the stars. The organization's core values emphasize Respect, Excellence, Appreciation, Connection, and Honor. Cardinal Bay's mission is to empower residents to grow, thrive, and contribute meaningfully to community life by building strong relationships, nurturing connections, and creating a true sense of belonging. As a valued part of this community, every employee plays a crucial role in enriching the lives of residents and maintaining the high standards of care and service that Cardinal Bay is known for.

Village on the Park in Oklahoma City, a part of the Cardinal Bay organization, is currently seeking Full-Time Dishwashers/Utility Workers to help continue the story of compassionate care for its residents. This role is instrumental in ensuring a clean, organized, and sanitary environment within the dining and kitchen areas, directly impacting the comfort and well-being of residents. The position offers a favorable schedule with shifts primarily from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with workdays from Tuesday, Thursday through Sunday, and holiday shifts on rotation. Importantly, the role avoids late-night kitchen work, capping shifts much earlier than midnight which often characterizes typical food service jobs.

The organization provides comprehensive benefits that underscore its commitment to employee well-being. Cardinal Bay contributes over 50% of the cost for health, dental, and vision coverage, while also fully funding life insurance. Employees enjoy generous paid vacation time, with two weeks initially, increasing to three weeks after four years, plus the flexibility to use, save, or cash in unused vacation days. Additional benefits include exclusive discounts on auto, home, and pet insurance, as well as perks at work offering savings on electronics, travel, apparel, home needs, entertainment, fitness, nutrition, and childcare costs. Employees also have access to an Employee Assistance Program providing confidential counseling for family, work, legal, mental health, and other life challenges. Referral bonuses, advancement and cross-training opportunities across eight communities, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with matching contributions, and a paid training program further highlight the supportive work environment.

The Full-Time Dishwasher/Utility Worker will contribute significantly to maintaining a clean and efficient operational flow in food service areas. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining dishwashing machines, ensuring the cleanliness of tableware and kitchenware, monitoring water temperatures for sanitary washing, and promptly addressing any equipment issues. The role also requires managing supplies, cleaning food preparation areas as needed, and handling waste disposal. This position demands attention to detail, a strong commitment to hygiene and safety standards, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The successful applicant will find a career that not only supports their professional growth but also places them at the heart of a caring community that prioritizes respect and excellence in every action.
