Job Description
Larksfield Place Retirement Communities is a distinguished not-for-profit continuous care retirement community located in Wichita. Renowned nationally for its commitment to excellence, Larksfield Place offers a supportive, resident-centered environment that emphasizes compassion, genuine hospitality, and meaningful engagement. This community operates under a strong local management team and champions a culture built on respect, responsibility, and collaboration among its staff members. Larksfield Place is more than just a senior living facility; it is a vibrant community dedicated to elevating the lives of its residents, employees, and the wider community with their guiding mantra, "Elevate Every Day." The organization’s reputation for quality care and exceptional service has made it a leading provider in the retirement living space, blending an enriching lifestyle for seniors with a professional work environment for its team.
The Dishwasher/Server position at Larksfield Place is a full-time role that offers a balanced shift schedule tailored to support the community’s dining operations effectively. This role requires working two shifts as a dishwasher and three shifts as a server per week, with shifts scheduled from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Additionally, working every other weekend is required. The starting pay is competitive, beginning at $15 per hour and is based on prior experience. The role includes a comprehensive full-time benefits package with health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement savings plans with employer match, paid time off, and other benefits.
In this dual-role, you will be integral to maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized kitchen and dining environment. As a dishwasher, you will be responsible for operating dishwashing machines and performing manual washing tasks for larger kitchen tools like pots and pans. Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen work areas is key, including adherence to chemical handling and temperature guidelines that meet food safety standards. You'll also support waste disposal and thorough cleaning of dish storage areas and floors.
As a server, although the description focuses primarily on the dishwasher role, the expectation includes assisting with dining services by supporting the kitchen and dining team to provide a high-quality experience for residents. You will contribute to a culture that values team spirit, communication, and efficiency, helping to uphold the excellent service standards at Larksfield Place.
This job role is ideal for individuals who are dependable and motivated, appreciate the importance of maintaining a hygienic workplace, and can work comfortably in a fast-paced kitchen environment. It's an opportunity to gain foundational experience in food service and grow within a supportive and dynamic team while making a positive impact on the lives of seniors residing at Larksfield Place.
