The role of the Dishwasher/Porter at Erewhon’s Tonic Bar is an essential function that ensures smooth and efficient operations in one of the company’s core departments. Positioned at the heart of the Tonic Bar, this role supports the team by handling all food, storage, and cleaning activities in strict compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations. As a key player in maintaining sanitation standards, the Dishwasher/Porter is responsible for cleaning the back of the house, including waste removal, floor cleaning, and maintaining coolers, freezers, and stock areas. This position requires keen organizational skills to keep the dish pit, line, and prep areas immaculate and well-stocked.

Additionally, the Dishwasher/Porter assists with replenishing dishes, blenders, and other essential tools. They play a supportive role to other Tonic Bar clerks by preparing various juice, smoothie, tonic, and coffee bar drinks as ordered, maintaining high productivity levels while delivering excellent customer service. Clear communication with the Tonic Bar Manager about supplies and equipment needs is crucial for ongoing operations. The company offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19 to $22 based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits such as 50% off organic meals daily, 20% off in-store purchases, bonuses and sales rewards (for some departments), 401k with 4% match, paid vacation, and health benefits.

This full-time or part-time position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, health-focused environments and are passionate about contributing to a growing brand dedicated to wellness. Erewhon encourages a flexible work schedule including nights and weekends to meet business demands. Candidates should be at least 18 years old and prepared to stand for long periods and perform frequent lifting up to 30 pounds. The company is dedicated to equal opportunity employment, embracing diversity and inclusiveness in its workforce.
