Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Capability to lift heavy items as required
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Adherence to safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
Job Qualifications
- No formal education required but high school diploma preferred
- Previous experience in a similar dishwashing or kitchen support role is an asset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are clean and sanitized
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the dishwashing area including drying floors to prevent slips
- Handle dishwashing chemicals safely and according to guidelines
- Assist kitchen staff as needed to support food preparation areas
- Dispose of waste and recyclables properly in accordance with restaurant policies
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding stock and maintenance issues
- Follow all health and safety standards consistently
