The Dishwasher role at these restaurants is a vital position ensuring the smooth, efficient, and sanitary operation of the kitchen. In this position, the Dishwasher will manage the flow of dishes through the cleaning process, ensuring that all items are properly washed, sanitized, and stored. They will regularly change dishwater in the machine, ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and assist with routine kitchen cleaning tasks such as wiping spills, polishing furniture, and removing trash. The role occasionally extends to light maintenance duties such as high dusting and reporting needed repairs. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk continually throughout an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to lift, carry, deliver and serve from trays weighing up to 40 pounds throughout an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours (some holidays and most weekends are required)

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals
  • Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and restaurant needs
  • Food handler’s card is required according to our local and or state regulations

Job Duties

  • Setup and stock station with all necessary supplies
  • set up or break down dishwashing area
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine
  • Sort and stack clean dishes
  • Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas
  • Rewash soiled dishes before delivering
  • Change dishwater in dish machine every hour
  • Assemble/disassemble dish machine
  • Wash pots, pans and trays by hand
  • Remove trash and garbage to dumpster
  • Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
  • Comply with safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Always strive to exceed guest’s expectations
  • Complete kitchen tasks, such as clean up and breakdown of the kitchen
  • Follow direction of management
  • Be a team player and assist wherever directed
  • Dispose of trash from bins and containers
  • High dusting
  • Polish furniture and room accessories
  • Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as needed
  • Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered
  • Manage and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning calendars
  • Once cleaning duties are completed, resume shift as Dishwasher
