This job opportunity is with a reputable restaurant seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join their team. Job Duties

  • Works with a sense of urgency
  • Sets up and breaks down the dish machine, including arms, curtains, and screens
  • Properly washes and stores all dishes, eating utensils, pots and pans, and small equipment
  • Handles dishes gently to minimize breakage and noise
  • Checks the machine to be sure it is operating properly and reports any defects immediately
  • Checks water temperatures during the shift to ensure proper sanitizing
  • Changes water in dish machine and soak sinks every three hours or more often if necessary
  • Cleans and organizes the dish room throughout the shift including putting stock away, keeping the floor dry, and taking out the garbage
  • Cleans and polishes the machine thoroughly, hosing down the inside and removing any paper
  • Cleans the walls and shelves in the dish room
  • Readily accepts direction from management, the head server, and kitchen manager
  • Follows all safety precautions to prevent injury or illness
  • Performs cleaning duties as assigned
  • Works in cooperation with all other employees to ensure smooth operation
