Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand or walk for entire shifts
- must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- must be able to reach overhead, bend, stoop, and wipe
- ability to communicate in English
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- no use of tobacco during shifts
- must pass a drug and alcohol test within 90 days of hire
- comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines
- must follow uniform and appearance guidelines
- ability to work under stressful and crowded conditions
- acceptance of management feedback and constructive criticism
- must arrive to work punctual and ready
- no use of illegal drugs or alcohol during shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred
- ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- basic knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
- good communication skills in English
- ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Wash, sanitize and dry items placed in the dish area or as requested by management or staff
- safely wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils and equipment
- ensure the cleanliness of all items washed and sanitized in the dish room
- follow proper dishwashing sequence according to restaurant specifications
- maintain a pace sufficient to prevent back up of dirty dishes, glasses, etc
- operate and maintain dishwashing machinery and identify potential problem areas
- assist with general cleanliness of the back of house and restrooms
