The role we are offering requires a responsible and proactive individual to join our cleaning and sanitation team. This position focuses on the meticulous use of floor machines and manual cleaning methods to maintain floor areas, walls, bathrooms, offices, coolers, freezers, ramps, and equipment in pristine condition. Additionally, this role extends to cleaning kitchen tools, equipment trays, pots, and pans, as well as managing trash disposal throughout the premises, including handling international garbage in compliance with appropriate protocols.

The employee must strictly adhere to all sanitation standards established by company policy and regulatory bodies. The position also involves operating sterilizers such as autoclaves within assigned departments to ensure the highest level of sterilization. Candidates must demonstrate excellent attendance and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility with working hours is essential, as is physical endurance to perform tasks that require walking, stooping, bending, and standing for full shifts. Safely managing equipment that requires finger dexterity and physical strength is crucial, including the ability to push heavy objects weighing over seventy pounds and lift up to fifty pounds.

Because the role involves working around moving parts and wet surfaces, candidates must commit to following all safety procedures and working in varying environmental conditions such as hot, cold, and wet areas. Competency in handling cleaning and sanitizing chemicals safely without compromising personal and workplace health is mandatory. Successful employees in this role will contribute significantly to the company's operational success and regulatory compliance, playing an essential part in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment conducive to high productivity and quality standards.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to operate cleaning equipment and floor machines
  • physical ability to walk, stoop, bend, and stand for long periods
  • ability to push over 70 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds
  • good attendance and punctuality
  • ability to work flexible hours including shifts
  • familiarity with cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures
  • capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • adherence to safety protocols when working with equipment and chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in sanitation or cleaning roles advantageous but not mandatory
  • understanding of USDA, FDA, and HACCP sanitation standards desirable
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
  • physical fitness to lift and push heavy objects
  • good attendance record
  • willingness to work flexible hours
  • ability to work in fast-paced and variable environmental conditions

Job Duties
