Job Description

The hiring establishment is a respected dining and hospitality venue committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and dedication to quality, this facility values team members who contribute to its smooth and efficient operation, particularly within its kitchen and dishwashing departments. The company prides itself on creating a safe and pleasant working environment, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and effective communication among staff. Located in an area not served by public transit such as bus routes or light rail, the venue places a priority on reliability and punctuality, which are critical for the daily operations in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

The Dishwashing position is an essential role within the kitchen staff, responsible for ensuring that all dishes, china, glasses, and flatware are meticulously cleaned and ready for use at every meal service. This role involves maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment by thoroughly cleaning dish machines inside and out, as well as sweeping and mopping floors in key areas such as walk-ins, dry storage, and kitchen prep zones. The dishwasher also manages recycling duties by breaking down cardboard boxes and keeping the recycling area organized and free of debris. Additional responsibilities extend to supporting food preparation and serving staff by preparing clean surfaces and equipment before service and ensuring an adequate supply of clean dishware throughout the day.

This role is a crucial support position that helps uphold the establishment’s commitment to health and safety standards in accordance with public health codes. The dishwasher often assists chefs and kitchen staff by helping stock or prepare food items, setting up or breaking down buffet stations, and providing necessary materials such as ice and water for displays. At the close of each day, the dishwasher undertakes closing duties that include trash removal, organizing workstations, cleaning food prep surfaces and equipment, as well as maintaining clean and safe floors and dock areas.

Strong communication skills and professionalism are essential, as the role requires interaction with multiple departments within the venue. The dishwasher may also have the opportunity to train new dishwashing staff, highlighting a potential path for growth and leadership within the kitchen team. Candidates should be prepared for varied tasks and able to perform efficiently in a physically demanding environment. This position offers valuable experience in hospitality operations and a supportive work atmosphere, with the added benefits of medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days, employer-paid life insurance, meals while on duty, access to practice fields and courses, and discounts in the Golf Shop. Reliable transportation is necessary due to the venue's location, and a drug test excluding THC will be required as part of the hiring process.
