Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- ability to stand and walk for entire shift
- capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
- ability to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe regularly
- must pass any required drug and alcohol tests
- comply with uniform and appearance guidelines
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- ability to communicate in English
- must work well in confined, noisy environments
- willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in dishwashing or similar role preferred
- ability to operate dishwashing machinery
- knowledge of sanitation and safety protocols
- basic English communication skills
- ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- willingness to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
- positive attitude and willingness to learn
Job Duties
- Wash, sanitize and dry items placed in the dish area or as requested by management or staff
- safely wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils and equipment
- ensure the cleanliness of all items washed and sanitized in the dish room
- follow proper dishwashing sequence, according to restaurant specifications
- maintain a pace sufficient to prevent back up of dirty dishes, glasses, etc.
- operate and maintain dishwashing machinery
- identify cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low
- assist with general cleanliness of back of house and restrooms
- check garbage for restaurant supplies and empty garbage as needed
- restock all items to appropriate area after washing
- promote teamwork among co-workers
- comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines
- complete assigned side work
- maintain positive attitude throughout shift
- communicate effectively with team members and management
