Job Requirements
- No degree or any other education earned required
- No prior experience required
- Ability to work in a stressful environment
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring bending and stooping for 80 percent of work time
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull 0 to 75 lbs non-patient items
- Must be able to follow safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements for 60 percent of work time
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, squat, and perform other physical activities at 60 percent of work time
Job Qualifications

- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Familiarity with kitchen safety and sanitation standards
- Good accountability and customer service skills
- Ability to follow hygiene protocols and patient and family centered care principles
- Physical capability to perform duties such as bending, stooping, climbing, lifting, pushing and pulling
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to work day shifts
Job Duties
- Cleans and maintains carts and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and cleaning solutions
- Complies with internal policies and regulatory safety and sanitation standards
- Transports and delivers meal trays or picks up meal trays from assigned areas
- Regularly collects and disposes of food-related and recyclable waste and trash
- Performs warewashing duties per safety guidelines including use of dishmachine and three compartment pot sink
- Maintains cleanliness of foodservice department to meet infection control standards
- Responds to changes in work environment and adheres to standards of behavior
