Established over 70 years ago, Morrison Healthcare has built a reputation for providing exceptional culinary and nutritional services within healthcare environments across the United States. With a workforce of more than 31,000 dedicated team members, including registered dietitians and executive chefs, Morrison Healthcare is driven by a mission to nourish patients, caregivers, and communities while upholding the highest standards of detail, quality, and excellence in every meal served. The company values a culture that emphasizes caring for people, fostering a sense of belonging, and creating meaningful moments that truly matter. As part of their commitment to excellence and community impact, Morrison Healthcare seeks to hire individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the healthcare setting through food service and support.
The role of a Part-Time Dishwasher is integral to maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishware, kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and work areas within Arkansas Children\u2019s Hospital, located at 1 Children\u2019s Way, Little Rock, Arkansas. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the kitchen environment meets the stringent hygiene and safety standards required in a healthcare facility. The Dishwasher works Monday through Friday on a part-time schedule, including rotating weekends, with hours that may vary and details provided during the interview process. The position offers a fixed pay rate of $15.00 per hour and includes valuable perks such as annual bonuses and opportunities for on-the-job training, making it a compelling opportunity for individuals eager to join a dynamic team and contribute to patient care indirectly.
The Dishwasher is responsible for managing the entire dishwashing process, which includes scraping and rinsing food from dirty dishes, washing using either manual methods or dishwashing machines, and ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation. Additional duties involve polishing silverware, maintaining chemical levels and temperatures in dishwashing equipment, keeping the dishwashing area orderly and safe, and performing general kitchen cleaning tasks such as mopping floors, washing worktables and walls, and removing trash properly. The Dishwasher also assists in supply management by transferring equipment and supplies between storage and work areas and helping with loading and unloading deliveries. Morrison Healthcare fosters professional growth by providing training to new Dishwashers, which is especially beneficial for candidates with little or no prior experience in dishwashing.
Beyond the immediate job responsibilities, employees at Morrison Healthcare benefit from a supportive work environment that offers a comprehensive benefits package. Part-time and full-time employees have access to various voluntary benefits ranging from retirement plans and associate shopping programs to health and wellness initiatives and pet insurance. Full-time employees enjoy additional medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as life and disability insurance options. The company also embraces equal opportunity employment, committing to fair treatment for all associates without discrimination and supporting workplace diversity and inclusion. Prospective employees are encouraged to apply online and join an organization dedicated to making a positive impact through every meal served and every role fulfilled within the healthcare industry.
