The role of a Part-Time Dishwasher is integral to maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishware, kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and work areas within Arkansas Children\u2019s Hospital, located at 1 Children\u2019s Way, Little Rock, Arkansas. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the kitchen environment meets the stringent hygiene and safety standards required in a healthcare facility. The Dishwasher works Monday through Friday on a part-time schedule, including rotating weekends, with hours that may vary and details provided during the interview process. The Dishwasher is responsible for managing the entire dishwashing process, which includes scraping and rinsing food from dirty dishes, washing using either manual methods or dishwashing machines, and ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation. Additional duties involve polishing silverware, maintaining chemical levels and temperatures in dishwashing equipment, keeping the dishwashing area orderly and safe, and performing general kitchen cleaning tasks such as mopping floors, washing worktables and walls, and removing trash properly. The Dishwasher also assists in supply management by transferring equipment and supplies between storage and work areas and helping with loading and unloading deliveries.
