The current opportunity is for a part-time Dishwasher position located at The Barrington of Carmel, situated at 1335 South Guilford Road in Carmel, Indiana. This role offers a competitive fixed pay rate of $19.00 per hour and requires open availability, including potential hours during weekends. The Dishwasher plays a vital role within the culinary team by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards across dishes, kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and work areas. This position supports the overall kitchen operations and ensures a hygienic environment by adhering to established safety and cleaning protocols. The successful candidate will work closely with other kitchen staff to manage equipment cleanliness, waste disposal, and general kitchen upkeep, thereby contributing to efficient service delivery and enhanced guest satisfaction.

In this role, the dishwasher is responsible for scrubbing, rinsing, and loading dishes either by hand or using dishwashing equipment, ensuring thorough sanitation at all times. The job also involves polishing silverware and maintaining proper chemical and temperature standards as dictated by company guidelines. In addition to dishwashing duties, the individual will sweep and mop floors, clean prep surfaces, and assist with moving supplies and equipment as needed. Job Requirements

  • Prior dishwashing experience preferred

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items

Job Duties

  • Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine
  • Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
  • Polishes silverware using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth
  • Ensures compliance with safety procedures and maintains chemical and temperature standards
  • Keeps dish area orderly and sweeps and mops kitchen floors to maintain safety and sanitation
  • Cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces
  • Removes trash and places it in designated containers, steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Helps load and unload supplies and product
  • Performs other duties as assigned
