Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or using dishwashing machines ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
- washes pots, pans, and trays according to established procedures ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
- polishes silverware using various methods including burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloths
- ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures
- maintains temperatures and chemical levels as per provided standards
- keeps dishwashing area orderly and in compliance with safety standards
- sweeps and mops kitchen floors maintaining safety and sanitation standards
- washes various surfaces including worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks
- removes trash, steam cleans, or hoses out garbage cans as needed
- transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- assists with loading and unloading supplies and products
- performs other duties as assigned
