The dishwasher role at this newly launched location is essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness expected in a fine dining environment. Dishwashers play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen and overall restaurant operations by ensuring that all utensils, dishes, glassware, and cookware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. In this role, the dishwasher is responsible for operating the dish machine properly, monitoring sanitation standards, and maintaining organization within the dish room. Responsibilities extend to upkeep duties around the restaurant including cleaning of restrooms, floors, and other assigned areas to uphold hygiene standards before daily opening. Position holders will also assist with stock management, food handling, and supporting kitchen staff during peak times for storage and prep work. This creates an opportunity to be involved in varied tasks that contribute to efficient restaurant service operations.

The physical demands of the role include lifting items up to 50 pounds, operating cleaning equipment, and performing repetitive motions that require manual dexterity. Job Duties

  • Load, operate, and unload the dish machine according to proper procedures
  • monitor water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycles
  • follow sanitation guidelines set forth by the Health Department
  • follow weekly cleaning schedule to maintain the standard of the restaurant
  • keep the dish room clean and organized
  • remove trash and recycling and transport to designated areas
  • communicate with chefs and management about any maintenance concerns
  • clean all restroom facilities and other assigned areas before the restaurant is open to the public
  • sweep and mop floors, wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and all other surface areas
  • stock food, beverages and supplies as directed by the chef
  • proper handling of food
  • ensure clean items are properly sorted, stored, and returned to service areas in a timely manner
  • support kitchen staff with basic prep, storage, labeling, and organization when needed
  • transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • restock tools and supplies for the next shift
  • maintain temperature logs
  • keep walk-in cooler/freezer organized
  • all other duties assigned
