Job Duties
- Sorts and rinses dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and places them in racks to send through dish machine
- Sorts and stacks clean dishes
- carries clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas
- rewashes soiled dishes before delivering
- Changes dishwater in dish machine on routine basis
- Washes pots, pans and trays by hand
- Removes trash and garbage to dumpster
- Sets up and breaks down dishwashing area
- Performs other duties related to cleanliness of kitchen as assigned
- Prepares food according to standardized recipes and assists in private events on and off site
- Ensures compliance with applicable Health Department codes
- Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key or significant issues or concerns
- Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public
- Responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel
- Performs related duties as assigned or apparent
