Job Description

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a fast-growing, family-owned company that operates more than 60 senior living communities across the nation. Our mission is to serve seniors with respect and kindness in beautiful, resort-style environments where both residents and employees feel valued and supported. We pride ourselves on our servant-hearted culture, which is built on core values such as Respect, Honesty, Kindness & Compassion, and Service Excellence. At RLC, we focus on four essential goals to measure our success: happy employees, happy residents, full occupancy, and on-budget operations. We foster a warm, family-like atmosphere where purpose-driven roles allow every team member to make a meaningful difference every day.

As a Dishwasher / Kitchen Prep at Sherrill Hills Retirement, you are integral to creating an exceptional dining experience for our residents. This full-time position, with consistent hours from Sunday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, involves preparing, stocking, and maintaining a fresh and appealing salad bar to ensure residents begin each day positively. You will assist in the dining room by providing friendly service, keeping tables clean, and helping deliver room-service orders when needed. Your efforts contribute to a safe and sanitary environment by diligently washing and sanitizing tableware, cookware, and kitchen equipment.

In this role, you will operate dish machines efficiently, monitor water temperatures to ensure proper sanitization, and promptly report any mechanical issues. Your responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized dish room with sufficient supplies for the kitchen and dining areas. You are expected to safely use kitchen appliances such as ovens, steamers, grills, and other tools to support daily food preparation. Additionally, you will address residents' food feedback courteously and escalate concerns to leadership to maintain high service standards. Other essential tasks include cleaning food prep and production areas and performing necessary support functions such as trash removal.

No previous culinary experience is required to join our team, as we prioritize a positive attitude, reliability, and a servant’s heart. New team members must be at least 18 years old and capable of obtaining required food handler permits within the first two weeks of employment. Basic English communication skills are necessary for effective interaction and safety. At RLC, full-time employees enjoy competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including access to pay anytime, a $341 benefit stipend per pay period to spend on health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, disability plans, flexible spending accounts, and legal or identity theft protection. Paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match are also provided, ensuring our employees feel supported both now and in the future.

Joining Resort Lifestyle Communities means becoming part of a dynamic team committed to compassionate senior care and operational excellence. We strive to cultivate an empowering workplace where respect and kindness drive everything we do. If you’re ready to serve with heart and contribute to a community that feels like family, this role is a perfect fit. Apply today to become part of a company where your work truly matters and you can make a lasting impact every day.
