The role of Dishwasher at Legends Global is essential to maintaining the cleanliness and functioning of the kitchen and dining areas. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining impeccable sanitation standards for all dishware, pots, pans, utensils, and cooking equipment, employing both machine and manual cleaning methods. The dishwasher is integral to the food and beverage department, ensuring that all kitchen tools are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored in an organized fashion. This position requires dependable attendance as it plays a critical role in the overall operation of the kitchen, helping to sustain a safe and sanitary environment conducive to food preparation and service. Working in this role involves a combination of routine cleaning tasks such as washing dishes and utensils, stock management of supplies in serving stations and refrigerators, floor maintenance through sweeping and scrubbing, and proper disposal and cleaning of waste areas. The dishwasher must exhibit a positive attitude, be able to follow detailed instructions, and maintain neat personal appearance while adhering to the company's grooming standards. Furthermore, the role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays across all Legends Global facilities in Wichita and Andover. Safety and adherence to regulatory compliance are key aspects of the job, requiring the individual to maintain safe working conditions and a sanitary work area consistently. In addition to manual labor, good communication skills and the ability to work well independently or within a team are critical for success in this role. This position reports directly to the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef and plays a supporting yet indispensable role in the smooth operation of the culinary team. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good attitude required
  • must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
  • knowledge of sanitary practices
  • maintains proper grooming and dress code standards
  • work ethic encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environment
  • ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
  • attention to detail
  • ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods, work with hot water and steam, bend, stoop, and lift up to 45 lbs
  • regular attendance is essential
  • ability to work at all Legends Global facilities in Wichita and Andover

Job Qualifications

  • prior dishwashing or kitchen work in food service
  • ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work
  • positive attitude and neat appearance
  • must speak and understand English
  • attend all training for food and beverage department and within the venue

Job Duties

  • wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand
  • place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
  • maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
  • stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, pantry and refrigerators
  • sweep or scrub floors
  • clean garbage cans with water or steam
  • follow safety rules and maintain sanitary work area
  • take direction well and perform duties as assigned
  • report to executive chef or executive sous chef in appropriate uniform for assigned location
  • follow all food and beverage department rules and regulations
