Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Strong understanding of sanitation and safety requirements in a hospital kitchen preferred
- ability to follow instructions precisely
- dependable and detail oriented
- effective communication skills with peers, managers, patients, and families
- exercises good judgement in interpersonal interactions
- basic knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and other office software preferred
- bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- "can do" mentality that promotes collaboration and efficiency
Job Duties
- Complete daily tasks assigned by the Chef or Sous Chef
- ensure all kitchen, dining, and catering surfaces and equipment are clean and sanitized
- wash dishes and maintain cleanliness to meet Food Code requirements
- sweep, mop, clean, and sanitize floors and equipment daily
- maintain order and organization in dish room, kitchen, and dining areas
- assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and washing
- assist with food and supply labeling, dating, and stocking as requested
- ensure attendance and punctuality for assigned shifts
- complete assignments from Learning and Development within timeframes
- maintain therapeutic boundaries and HIPAA compliance
- perform other duties as assigned by management
