Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in dishwashing or a similar role is advantageous
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • capability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • able to work in a kitchen environment exposed to hot water and cleaning chemicals
  • flexible availability to work varied shifts as needed

Job Duties

  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes glasses tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine
  • sort and stack clean dishes
  • carry clean dishes to cook line and other proper storage areas
  • rewash soiled dishes before delivering
  • change the dishwater in the dish machine every hour
  • wash pots pans and trays by hand
  • remove trash and garbage to the dumpster
  • set up or break down dishwashing area
  • clean and roll unroll mats
  • fill empty soak tubs with cleaning sanitizing solutions
  • sweep mop floors
  • sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster
  • wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
  • notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures
  • other duties as directed
