Job Description
This position is offered by a compassionate and resident-focused senior living community dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents. The organization's mission revolves around delivering high-quality care and creating a joyful, vibrant community where both residents and staff thrive. As a professional and essential part of the food service team, the establishment upholds strict cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards, ensuring that the environment remains sanitary and comfortable for all individuals involved. The company values reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude, fostering a respectful atmosphere that extends to families, volunteers, staff, and community members alike.
We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Dishwasher who will play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas. The Dishwasher position primarily involves cleaning dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment by using both machine and manual cleaning methods. Additionally, this role requires maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary dishwashing area to support the efficient operations of the kitchen team. The successful candidate will contribute directly to meal service quality by ensuring that all kitchen and dining items are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored according to established food safety and infection control practices.
The Dishwasher must possess basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and should be able to work independently with minimal supervision. This position demands punctuality, reliability, and the ability to carry out assigned tasks efficiently. The individual will assist in clearing and resetting tables, supporting cooks with plating and food preparation as needed, and ensuring the cleanliness of kitchen floors and mats. Regular responsibilities also include monitoring sanitizer and dish machine temperature logs, changing dishwater as required, and safely handling crockery and utensils.
Ideal candidates will have a Food Handler’s card, maintain CPR and/or First Aid Certification as required, and comply with all mandatory health and safety regulations at the state level. A compassionate interest in working with senior populations is highly valued, along with good communication skills and the ability to relate positively with residents, families, and fellow staff members. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, is essential to meet the needs of this position. Physical demands include the ability to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift or move items up to 30 pounds.
Joining our team means becoming part of a mission-driven community that prioritizes both resident satisfaction and employee well-being. If you are committed to maintaining high sanitation standards and enjoy contributing to a lively and supportive team environment, this opportunity offers a meaningful and stable career path in the senior care hospitality sector. Employment type and salary details are typically discussed during the hiring process and reflect the competitive standards of the senior living industry.
