Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience with and passion for working with seniors
- Ability to operate kitchen appliances including dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, and ice machine
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and state and local regulations
- Ability to maintain sanitary kitchen and assigned areas
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and emergency procedures

Job Duties
- Responsible for proper washing of tableware, flatware, glassware, and other kitchen equipment including monitoring machine rinse pressure and water temperature to meet sanitation guidelines
- Maintain the kitchen and assigned areas in a sanitary manner
- Establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationships with coworkers, residents, and guests
- Be familiar with food handling procedures and state and local regulations
- Operate kitchen appliances such as dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, and ice machine
- Retrieve garbage and recyclables from residence floors as needed
- Maintain the compactor room and place garbage curbside for pick up daily
- Assist with inventory, maintenance, food deliveries, and shelving stock as required
- Participate in ongoing in-service and training requirements
- Follow emergency procedures
- Comply with all Inspīr safety practices and procedures
