We are currently seeking a full-time Dishwasher to join the dedicated team at Ascension Via Christi Ridge location in Wichita, Kansas. This role operates within the TouchPoint Support Services team, emphasizing sanitation, safety, and operational efficiency to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. The dishwasher position is integral to the smooth functioning of the kitchen, helping to ensure that all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and work areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
This full-time role includes a rotating weekend schedule with working hours typically from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on varying days. The opportunity offers a competitive wage ranging from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, alongside various perks such as provision of uniforms, a $50 shoe stipend twice yearly, and no late-night shifts. The Dishwasher’s primary responsibility is to support the kitchen staff by scrubbing, rinsing, and cleaning kitchenware either by hand or using dishwashing equipment while adhering strictly to sanitation protocols and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities also include maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen floors, worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep areas to uphold a sanitary environment. Additionally, the dishwasher will manage waste disposal, assist in loading and unloading supplies, and ensure equipment compliance with temperature and chemical standards. This role demands attention to detail, reliability, and the physical ability to handle manual tasks in a busy hospital kitchen setting. Prior dishwashing experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior dishwashing experience preferred but not required
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work rotating weekend schedule
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards
- Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces
- Removes trash and places it in designated containers
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Helps load and unload supplies and product
- Performs other duties as assigned
