Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous dishwashing experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices preferred
- ability to work full time Monday through Friday with possible Saturday overtime
- ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- must be able to comply with safety and sanitation regulations
Job Qualifications
- Previous dishwashing experience preferred
- knowledge of workplace and food safety preferred
- ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures
- capability to maintain sanitation standards
- physical stamina for standing and lifting
- strong attention to detail
- good teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in dishwasher racks or conveyor
- ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware
- washes pots, pans and trays according to procedures
- polishes silverware using designated equipment and methods
- complies with safety procedures and maintains temperature and chemical levels
- keeps dish area clean and orderly following safety standards
- sweeps and mops kitchen floors for sanitation compliance
- cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and food prep surfaces
- removes trash and cleans garbage containers
- transfers supplies between storage and work areas
- assists with loading and unloading supplies
- performs other duties as assigned
