- up to one month related experience or training preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine
- washes pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
- polishes silver using burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth as needed
- ensures compliance with all safety procedures including use of cut gloves when handling knives
- maintains and tracks temperatures and chemical levels and reports abnormalities to supervisor
- cleans and maintains dish area including mats and walkways complying with safety standards
- sweeps and mops kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards
- washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and food prep surfaces
- segregates and removes trash and garbage, steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans
- transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing safe lifting standards
- may assist with loading or unloading supplies and products
- performs other assigned functions and duties
