Job Description

Sunset is a dedicated organization committed to providing quality services to senior adults, grounded in a spirit of Christian love and compassion. Our establishment is much more than just a service provider; it’s a community where respect, care, and consistency are at the core of everything we do. Located on the Waterford Campus, our team works diligently to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for our residents, ensuring that their daily lives are enriched with dignity and kindness. We believe in a leadership style that is honest, dependable, caring, and clear. Our leaders serve alongside their teams, embodying humility and compassion while upholding high standards of quality and integrity. This approach ensures that work is not just a task but a meaningful contribution to the lives of those we serve and the colleagues we collaborate with.

We are currently seeking a dependable Dishwasher to join our Waterford Campus team. This full-time role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment that supports our mission and the well-being of our residents. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role behind the scenes, handling key cleaning and sanitation responsibilities that uphold our food service standards and safety protocols. This position is ideal for someone who values teamwork, reliability, and takes pride in contributing to a positive and inviting dining experience for residents and staff alike. The Dishwasher will work set shifts, with weekdays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and weekends from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, including every other weekend and holiday. Starting pay begins at $13.73 per hour, with potential increases based on experience.

Day to day, the Dishwasher will perform essential cleaning tasks, including clearing tables, washing dishes and utensils, and returning them to their proper storage areas. Maintaining a safe and hazard-free workspace is a priority, as is assisting with dining support whenever needed, such as setting tables, filling beverages, and serving food according to portion guidelines. The role also involves supporting meal services by delivering trays, preparing sack lunches, and helping during special events or activities. Tracking meal counts for residents, guests, and staff is another important responsibility.

We value team members who demonstrate reliability by showing up prepared and following through on commitments. A steady, focused work style, especially during busy service times, is essential. Candidates should be willing to follow directions and work within established systems while respecting coworkers, residents, and the greater purpose behind their work. We foster a workplace culture where accountability and support go hand in hand, offering meaningful work that directly impacts the daily experience of senior adults. In addition to a supportive work environment, we provide employees with a meal during shifts, a uniform including nonslip Sketchers shoes, access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Chaplain services, and leadership that places a high value on honesty, follow-through, and genuine care for people. If you are ready to contribute to a mission-driven organization that values both quality and dignity, we encourage you to apply today.
