The Dishwasher role at Trillium's Fort Point location is a vital position that ensures all kitchenware, from glassware and tableware to cooking utensils, meet the highest sanitation standards. Responsibilities include sorting and rinsing dirty dishes and utensils, utilizing commercial dish machines efficiently, hand washing larger cookware items, and properly organizing clean dishes for timely delivery to the cooking line. Dish machine maintenance is also part of the role, including changing dishwater every hour and alerting management if the dishwashing process falls below the required safety standard temperatures. Beyond dishwashing, other duties include general kitchen and restaurant cleaning tasks such as floor sweeping, mopping, mat maintenance, trash disposal, and restroom upkeep. The position demands physical stamina due to the nature of the work, including standing for long periods, lifting, bending, and maintaining fast-paced work rhythms.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of dishwashing experience

Job Duties

  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine
  • Sort and stack clean dishes, carry clean dishes to cooks' line and other proper storage areas, rewash soiled dishes before delivering
  • Change dishwater in dish machine every hour
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand
  • Set up or break down dishwashing area
  • Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
  • Assemble/disassemble dish machine
  • Notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures
  • Remove trash and garbage to dumpster
  • Clean and roll/unroll mats
  • Sweep/mop floors
  • Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster
  • Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed
  • Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
