Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work 16 hours per week with a flexible schedule including every other weekend and holiday rotations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying
- Willingness to learn and follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to operate dish machines and other department equipment properly
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or healthcare food operations helpful but not required
- Ability to use information systems efficiently
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Maintain a safe work environment and organized workflow
- Provide quality food products and accurate food trays for patients and customers
- Deliver age-appropriate care or service as applicable
- Ensure reliable, predictable outcomes and no needless waits
- Utilize information systems to their full capability
- Assist with other department duties as needed
- Clean and sanitize equipment, dishes, pots, pans, and work area
- Retrieve dirty nutrition cart from the floor
- Operate department equipment properly
- Stock and restock food and supplies
- Put away weekly food deliveries
- Complete dish machine temperature log as directed
