Job Description
Sundance Mountain Resort is a premier mountain resort located in Utah, known for its exceptional hospitality, stunning natural surroundings, and commitment to providing guests with memorable experiences. Established by Robert Redford, the resort offers a unique combination of rustic charm and modern amenities, set against the backdrop of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. It serves as a destination for outdoor enthusiasts, artists, and those seeking a tranquil retreat or a vibrant cultural experience. The resort includes lodging, dining, recreation, and entertainment options, making it a full-service environment for both guests and employees alike. As a reputable employer, Sundance Mountain Resort values a supportive team atmosphere, career growth opportunities, and a dedication to sustainability and community engagement. The resort employs a diverse team to deliver excellent services consistently throughout the year, particularly during the busy seasons when outdoor activities and events draw visitors from around the globe.
The role of the Dishwasher at Sundance Mountain Resort is a vital position within the resort's food and beverage department, designed for individuals who are committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen operations. This full-time position offers an hourly wage of $19.00 per hour plus an active season pass, providing additional perks for employees to enjoy the resort's amenities. The dishwasher typically works Monday through Sunday from 4 PM until close, generally covering 4 to 5 days per week, including weekends and holidays, essential for maintaining smooth kitchen operations during peak times.
The Dishwasher is responsible for setting up the dish station to resort standards, cleaning dishes to ensure they are sanitary and restocking kitchen lines with clean dishes promptly. The role also involves taking out trash, recycling, and linens regularly, supporting Sundance's commitment to reducing waste and promoting environmental responsibility. The Dishwasher must follow specific guidelines to minimize grease entering the plumbing system, a crucial part of maintaining the facility's infrastructure. Daily cleaning projects and maintaining sanitary standards by mopping floors and assisting in food preparation as needed are also key duties.
Physically demanding, this position requires individuals to be able to lift significant weight and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Candidates must possess or obtain a valid food handler's permit within 30 days of employment and be at least 16 years old. The resort offers a supportive team environment, training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and career growth, employee discounts on dining and resort amenities, and, importantly, an active season pass to enjoy the resort year-round. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality, teamwork, and working in a beautiful mountain setting, offering both personal and professional growth within a well-established, respected company.
