Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- previous kitchen or dishwashing experience preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
- capacity to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- strong physical stamina and attention to detail
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in dishwashing or kitchen operations is an asset
- knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards
- ability to follow instructions and maintain cleanliness standards
- basic understanding of chemical handling and safety procedures
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- effective communication and teamwork skills
- willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Maintains a clean kitchen, properly wash, and sort soiled dishes
- keeps dish area free of clutter and organized
- maintains clean/dry floors throughout shift
- properly washes, stacks, and stores dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers
- understands and complies with county/state/federal health codes to ensure health and safety of the customer
- changes water of machines and sinks every two hours or more often as required by New Freedom standards, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by Ecolab
- assists in the timely storing of food deliveries
- maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift
- maintains dry storage area and organization of storage shelves
- follows posted daily dish cleaning duties
- handles chemicals for designated uses/surfaces in accordance with safety data sheets
- adjusts quantity of food prep depending on fluctuating peaks in client flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality
- collaborates professionally with courtesy and tact when interacting with the leadership team, employees, and clients
- performs all other duties as assigned
