Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a dishwasher in fine dining, hospitality, and/or casual dining restaurant
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Will be standing or in stationary position for long periods of time
Ability to lift 70 lbs and perform bending, climbing or work in confined spaces
Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication in English
Must have organizational and time management skills and demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
Must have a state issued Health Card
Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks as needed
Attention to detail and sanitation rules
Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings
Occasionally will be sitting, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing
Will be pushing/pulling up to 150lbs
Will be lifting up to 70lbs
Will be standing or in stationary position for long periods of time
Will be balancing, twisting, using hands and fingers and wrist motions
Required to have good hand-eye coordination and mental alertness
Ability to concentrate within numerous distractions

Job Duties

Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
Load and unload dish washing machines
Wash specific items by hand such as wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china
Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
Set up workstations before meal preparation begins
Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
Maintain cleaning supplies stock such as detergents and replace when necessary
Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical or performance issues
Remove garbage regularly
Sanitize the kitchen area including the floor
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
