Job Requirements

Ability to follow safety protocols
Willingness to work in a rotating PRN schedule
Ability to lift and move moderate weight
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely

Job Qualifications

Ability to follow food safety standards and sanitation procedures
Ability to operate cleaning equipment
Effective communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

Washes pots and pans by hand and by machine according to food safety standards
Cleans and sanitizes dishes
Collects soiled items from cafeteria, lounges, nursing units
Operates, cleans, and sanitizes necessary equipment
Sweeps and mops all areas of the department
Collects and disposes of trash
Transports food to other areas as needed
Transports carts to and from other units while respecting hospital property
Utilizes equipment and chemicals safely
Monitors, corrects, and logs sanitation control
Reports equipment malfunctions and concerns
