Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) stands as one of the largest lodging franchisors worldwide, with a well-established reputation as a challenger in the upscale segment and a leader in midscale and extended stay hospitality sectors. The company boasts an impressive portfolio of more than 7,400 hotels, representing over 625,000 rooms across 45 countries and territories. With 22 distinct brands catering to a wide gamut of guests—from full-service upper upscale properties to midscale, extended stay, and economy segments—Choice Hotels uniquely meets the diverse needs of travelers for various occasions while driving significant value for franchise owners and shareholders. The company also features an award-winning loyalty program, Choice Privileges®, and co-brand credit card options, enabling members to earn reward nights and enjoy personalized perks quickly and easily. Choice Hotels International embodies a vibrant culture grounded in values such as welcoming and respecting everyone, being bold and quick, listening actively, maintaining curiosity, and showing integrity. These cultural values inspire loyalty, growth, and embody the hospitality spirit that the company seeks in every associate. Beyond the franchising side, the company also operates a managed hotels portfolio that includes reputable brands like Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson Red, Park Plaza, and Country Inn & Suites by Radisson.

The Steward role at Choice Hotels International plays a critical part in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all food and beverage outlets, kitchens, dinnerware, and food and beverage equipment. This position helps ensure an impeccable guest experience by overseeing the setup and takedown of select kitchen and outlet areas and managing staff accordingly. The Steward is responsible for developing and implementing cleaning schedules, assisting with budget management, and maintaining controls to prevent theft and waste. This leadership role directs daily cleaning operations, oversees staff training on the use of dishwashing and other cleaning equipment, and maintains stock levels for stewarding supplies. The Steward also actively collaborates with maintenance to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and recommends improvements by researching new products and supplies.

An essential part of the position is the development and implementation of strategies that support employee engagement, recruiting and training qualified candidates, and fostering a culture of exemplary guest service. Stewards are expected to exceed guest expectations by providing hospitality with genuine care, teamwork, and quick problem resolution, creating a memorable experience consistent with the Radisson brand’s standards.

This full-time position requires flexibility as hotel operations function around the clock, seven days a week. Candidates should be prepared for extended hours, the physical demands of standing, bending, lifting, and pushing heavy loads regularly, and the need for adaptability in scheduling and duties. The company stresses an equal opportunity employment environment and adheres strictly to all regulations, including background checks, drug screening, and eligibility to work verification.
