Job Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible schedule including long hours
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform frequent bending, stooping, or crawling
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and push or pull up to 150 pounds
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
  • Willingness to work shifts as assigned by management
  • Commitment to maintaining a hospitable service atmosphere at all times

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality preferred
  • Minimum one year management experience in full-service stewarding operations
  • At least three years experience in hotel food and beverage
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with hotel employees and management
  • Skilled in conflict resolution among guests, supervisors, and employees
  • Proficient multitasking and working under pressure
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office, reservation systems, and point of sales systems

Job Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of all food and beverage outlets and kitchen
  • Manage setup and takedown of select kitchen and outlet areas
  • Establish and enforce rotating cleaning schedules
  • Assist executive committee with stewarding budget management
  • Maintain controls to prevent theft and waste
  • Train staff on dishwashing and cleaning equipment use
  • Monitor and maintain stewarding supplies and equipment
  • Collaborate with maintenance for equipment repairs
  • Prevent pests by ensuring cleanliness
  • Recruit, orient, and train staff
  • Provide ongoing coaching to employees
  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by demonstrating genuine hospitality
  • Resolve guest issues promptly with empathy
  • Perform additional duties as required to uphold hospitality standards
