Sunrise Senior Living is currently seeking a Dishwasher for their Sunrise of Cascade community. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the company's mission by ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen and dining environment. The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning duties across food production and consumption areas, including the kitchen, dining rooms, bistro, private dining rooms, serveries, and pantries. This position supports sanitary conditions by washing dishes, pots, pans, kitchen tools, and cleaning kitchen equipment and general areas while strictly adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate sanitation logs, proper food and chemical storage, and assisting with food preparation and plating as needed.
Beyond the fundamental cleaning and sanitation duties, the Dishwasher at Sunrise Senior Living contributes to an engaging and supportive team culture. Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- one year job related experience preferred
- ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
- completion of CPR and first aid training may be required
- completion of ServSafe food handler card may be required
- completion of local health department food handler card may be required

Job Duties
- Set-up and maintain the dish and pot washing areas
- operate dish machine(s) according to manufacturer instruction
- perform dishwashing tasks to properly wash and sanitize all dishes and china, silverware, glassware, utensils, and cookware
- maintain accurate dish machine and pot and pan sink temperature and sanitation logs and report any issues promptly
- maintain accurate equipment logs and report any issues promptly
- complete assigned kitchen cleaning duties and ensure accuracy of daily and weekly cleaning logs
- clean assigned kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, fryers, microwaves, mixers, slicers, refrigerators, freezers, worktables, prep sinks, ice makers, coffee machines, hoods and ventilation screens
- perform assigned janitorial duties including sweeping work areas, mopping floors, washing walls and ceilings, sanitizing production areas, and emptying trash
- assist with food preparation and plating when necessary
- maintain the correct storage of all cookware, china, glassware, and utensils
- maintain the correct storage of all janitorial and chemical supplies
- assist in the receiving, storage, dating, labeling, and rotation of food and non-food supplies
- comply with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety and risk management programs, adhere to safety rules and regulations, and practice safety procedures at all times including personal protective equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, safety data sheets (SDS), and lockout tagout procedures
- perform other dining services duties when assigned such as cleaning and maintaining the dining room and bistro to the highest standards, bussing and resetting tables, taking and delivering food orders, and preparing and serving light meals
- participate and commit to working toward team goals
- demonstrate team member credo in daily interactions
- commit to serving residents and guests through principles of service
- contribute to engagement programs for residents and team members
- attend regular meetings
