We are currently hiring immediately for a full-time Dishwasher position at SAS Marketplace Cafe located at 820 SAS Campus Drive, Cary, North Carolina 27513. This position operates Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, providing a stable, daytime schedule for individuals seeking consistent employment. Candidates need not have prior experience to apply, making this role an excellent opportunity for those new to the foodservice industry or seeking to start a career with a reputable company. The hourly pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 depending on experience and qualifications.

As a Dishwasher at Bon Appetit, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils. This role ensures the kitchen operates smoothly and meets health and safety standards by washing and sanitizing all dishware efficiently. Maintaining an orderly and safe kitchen environment is essential, involving sweeping and mopping floors, managing waste removal, and transferring supplies to keep kitchen processes seamless. The position includes responsibilities such as scraping and rinsing food from dirty dishes, polishing silverware, and adhering strictly to safety and sanitation protocols. This job is physically oriented, requiring standing for extended periods and the ability to handle kitchen equipment safely.

Job Duties

  • Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or uses dishwashing machine
  • washes pots, pans and trays according to procedures ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
  • polishes silverware using burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel or hand cloth
  • ensures compliance with safety procedures
  • maintains temperatures and chemical levels as per standards
  • keeps dish area orderly and complies with safety standards
  • sweeps and mops kitchen floors ensuring sanitation
  • washes worktables, walls, refrigerators and food prep surfaces
  • removes trash and cleans garbage cans
  • transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • helps load and unload supplies
  • performs other duties as assigned
