We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Dishwasher to join our team. This full-time position involves essential duties that support the kitchen and dining room operations, focusing on cleaning and maintaining dishware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. The Dishwasher contributes significantly to the smooth running of the kitchen by ensuring cleanliness and organization in the dish room and maintaining adequate supplies and inventory. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced culinary environment and take pride in supporting restaurant operations behind the scenes.
The Dishwasher will operate the dish machine by loading, running, and unloading it, making sure that it functions correctly and maintaining sanitary conditions through monitoring water temperatures. The role includes regular cleaning and organization of the dish room, handling dishware carefully to prevent breakage, and performing routine trash audits and removal. Candidates should be prepared to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy stacks, working on their feet for long periods, and operating in a humid, hot, and loud environment. There is also room for flexibility as Dishwashers may assist with light food preparation and portioning and fill in other roles as needed, ensuring efficient restaurant operations. While no prior restaurant experience is required, the ideal candidate must be at least 16 years old and demonstrate physical stamina and reliability.

Job Requirements
- Be 16 years of age
- able to work in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for long periods of time
- physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop
- able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 5 hours
- safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift
Job Qualifications

- be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
- be able to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift
Job Duties
- Load, run, and unload dish machine
- keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
- monitor dish machine’s water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
- wash and store tableware and kitchenware
- keep dish room clean and organized
- maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen
- perform trash audits every 15 minutes
- bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at appropriate times
- handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
- maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
- clean food preparation and production areas as required
- be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
- help with light prep and portioning
