Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in dishwashing or similar back-of-house roles preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 40 lbs regularly
- Ability to work in a hot, humid, or fast-paced kitchen environment
- Manual dexterity and ability to handle wet, slippery, or soapy conditions safely
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred
- Strong work ethic with the ability to take direction and work independently or as part of a team
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on restaurant needs
- A valid food handler's card, where required by local or state regulations
Job Duties
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment are washed, sanitized, and stored quickly and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, including sinks, dish machines, and surrounding workspaces
- Assist with general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and equipment breakdown or setup as needed
- Support other areas of the restaurant, including prep, line support, restocking, and table bussing, as business needs require
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures
- Perform additional tasks or duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or leadership team
- Take out trash regularly, ensuring proper disposal and cleanliness of waste areas
- Hours and scheduling will vary based on business levels and operational needs
