The Dishwasher role at Tom's Watch Bar is an essential part of the back-of-house operations, responsible for supporting the kitchen team to maintain cleanliness and efficiency. The position demands a self-motivated, reliable, and flexible individual dedicated to ensuring the smooth running of dishwashing and general cleaning tasks. As a Dishwasher, the employee will primarily be responsible for washing, sanitizing, and storing dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment quickly and efficiently. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in dishwashing or similar back-of-house roles preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 40 lbs regularly
  • Ability to work in a hot, humid, or fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle wet, slippery, or soapy conditions safely
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to take direction and work independently or as part of a team
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on restaurant needs
  • A valid food handler's card, where required by local or state regulations

Job Duties

  • Ensure all dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment are washed, sanitized, and stored quickly and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, including sinks, dish machines, and surrounding workspaces
