The Dishwasher role at Sodexo, located at Currey Ingram Academy, is a full-time position with a pay range of $16.50 to $17.50 per hour. This position is integral to supporting kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout food production and service areas. The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces, as well as transporting and storing supplies. Additional tasks include assisting with basic set-up and break-down activities as directed. The position requires a proactive approach to maintaining sanitary standards using specific chemicals and sanitation procedures, ensuring the work environment is safe and clean.
This role entails significant physical activity, including walking or standing for extended periods, frequent reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, or pulling, and lifting weights up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally moving items up to 50 pounds. Availability for varying shifts is preferred, and punctuality with scheduled shifts is mandatory. The role is suited for individuals with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience and who have knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation procedures.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and basic food safety concepts
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Availability for varying shifts with open availability preferred
- Ability to attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time consistently
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures including basic concepts of food safety
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Demonstrated punctuality and reliability
- No prior related work experience required
Job Duties
- Wash dishes by hand or place them in a dishwashing machine
- Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks
- Sweep, mop, clean, and vacuum floors
- Remove trash and garbage to designated areas
- Clean equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards
- Re-stock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials
- Assist with basic set-up and break-down tasks as directed
