The Dishwasher/Utility position plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the restaurant. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils, as well as operating dishwashing equipment safely and effectively. Beyond dishwashing duties, the position supports the kitchen team by helping with prep work, including the preparation of Red Lobster's signature Cheddar Bay biscuits. This teamwork-oriented role ensures that the kitchen runs smoothly and that every guest receives the highest standard of service in a clean and safe environment.

Employees in this role are expected to adhere strictly to cleanliness and safety protocols to uphold the restaurant's hygiene standards. The ability to work collaboratively with cooks and other team members, pay attention to detail, and multitask effectively is essential for success in this position. Physical requirements include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds safely, move around the restaurant, and remain standing for 8 to 12-hour shifts. Job Duties

  • Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the restaurant
  • cleaning and sanitizing all dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans and cooking utensils
  • safely and correctly operating the dishwasher and other equipment
  • emptying all trash in the kitchen and other areas
  • supporting the cooks with prep work, including preparation of Cheddar Bay biscuits and other tasks as needed
  • focusing on team and guests, ensuring decisions consider guest and team needs
  • following all cleanliness and safety protocols
