The role of a Dishwasher at Casa de las Campanas is vital to maintaining the sanitation and efficiency of the kitchen operations. This position requires responsibility for the proper functioning of dishwashing equipment and adherence to cleanliness and sanitation standards. The dishwasher will ensure that all kitchenware, including china, glassware, flatware, and cooking equipment, is cleaned, sanitized, and stored correctly to support the community's high standards of food safety and guest satisfaction. The position starts at an hourly wage of $17.25, with a schedule from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm. This role goes beyond traditional dishwashing duties by involving regular monitoring of dish machine temperatures, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance as well as assisting with cleaning tasks across the kitchen. The dishwasher plays a key role in supporting a safe and healthy environment within the food preparation areas and ensuring compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations. Job Requirements

  • Ability to pass background checks including fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, and employment references
  • Must be able to work from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm
  • Willingness to follow all safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical cleaning tasks
  • Must be able to handle cleaning chemicals safely
  • Some roles may require disclosure of vaccination status
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in dishwashing or kitchen sanitation is a plus
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures strictly
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor equipment
  • Good communication skills for reporting issues promptly

Job Duties

  • Ensures that the dish machine is properly set up
  • Ensures that the correct chemicals are in use at all times
  • Reports any problems with machinery or chemicals to a supervisor immediately
  • Washes and sanitizes china, glassware, flatware, all cooking and food preparation equipment at correct temperatures and stores them in proper locations
  • Monitors dish machine temperatures and records them daily
  • Reports all broken, damaged, or inoperable equipment to supervisor
  • Assists in maintaining proper sanitation by sweeping, scrubbing and mopping floors
  • cleans trash containers and performs other related sanitation tasks
  • Follows and completes all duties on daily sanitation and cleaning schedules as assigned or required
  • Ensures that the dish machine water is changed at regular intervals
  • Breaks down the dish machine and cleans the jets, curtains, and entire dishwashing station at the end of the day
  • Practices safe food handling techniques at all times
  • Reports any safety, sanitation, or food handling concerns to the supervisor immediately
