Job Description

The Country Club of Buffalo is a prestigious and historic private country club located in Western New York. Renowned for its rich tradition, elegant ambiance, and exceptional facilities, the club has been a cornerstone of the community for generations. It boasts a beautifully maintained Donald Ross designed golf course, which receives consistent national recognition for its challenge and beauty. The club’s other amenities include tennis courts, swimming pools, multiple sport shooting options including trap, skeet, five-stand, and brushwalk, as well as paddle tennis and six overnight guest rooms. The clubhouse itself, designed by Duane Lyman, spans 55,000 square feet and features stately living rooms, three dining rooms, and private party rooms, all contributing to an inviting and luxurious atmosphere for its members and guests. The Country Club of Buffalo is currently seeking motivated and diligent Dishwashers to join their esteemed culinary team led by Executive Chef Joe Piazza CEC, CCA, AAC. This role is critical in supporting the high standards of the club’s esteemed culinary operations, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen. Dishwashers at the club are expected to maintain a positive, creative, and adaptable personality, successfully managing the high-paced and demanding kitchen environment with professionalism and attention to detail. The role demands individuals who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team while maintaining the consistent quality of service and food the club is known for. Responsibilities include cleaning and preparing dishes, utensils, kitchen appliances, and dining areas to guarantee a smooth turnover between shifts and uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The ideal candidate will have previous dishwashing or kitchen experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent time management skills. Physical stamina is essential, with the ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift items of up to 20 pounds. Job Duties

  • Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware
  • preparing dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations
  • cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, pans, mixers
  • unloading and storing deliveries
  • sweeping and mopping floors, especially after spills or breakages
  • taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans
  • supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks as needed
  • reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures
